Have you proven God's armor? That may seem like a strange question, but have you? Many times, believers wait until entering into a conflict before they put on God's armor. Any warrior will tell you that it is foolish to enter into a battle without proving your weapon. Saul wanted David to wear his armor when going out to fight Goliath. Saul was head and shoulders taller than all other Israelites. Imagine the armor that had been made for Saul engulfing a young teenage David. I remember my son, many years ago when he was a child putting my suit jacket on; it swallowed him up. This is how I picture David swimming in Sauls armor. David told Saul I cannot wear your armor for I have not proven it. David was not accustomed to or use to it. David knew that he could not go into battle wearing armor he was not use to. You can see it now, David in armor that he would barely be able to walk and move around in headed towards Goliath for battle. Goliath might have died from laughter on that one. David, instead, went into with what he had proven, God and a slingshot. What we can learn from this story in the Bible is that we need to prove the weapons and armor that God has given to us. We are told that we need to put on the full armor of God so we can stand against the enemy. If we will read God's word daily and spend time in prayer, then we will prove God and His armor. Have you proven God's armor?
